I've been looking this forum and website the last couple of days, along with some other kayak sites. I'm wanting to build a kayak. I posted some messages earlier and got some excellent answers. I'm getting closer to deciding what I want to start on.

I'm looking real seriously at the Guillemot "L". I'm a big guy, over 6-2, and around 235 lbs. Big feet and been kayaking for a couple of years in a Pungo and a Perception America.

I've never made a boat before, but very knowledgeable in woodworking and have about any tool needed. I'm wanting the kayak for medium to large inland lakes and weekend camping. And, I'm looking for the enjoyment of building my own first craft.

Now, is this boat a reasonable choice? Is there something else I should look at also? I'm open for all kinds of suggestions. Hey, if I'm going off in the wrong direction please tell me, I won't be offended.
