Steam the strips where you have tight bends or twists to relieve the pressure, or you'll be fighting it the whole way. Trust me, I fought mine the whole way and wish I'd used a nominal amount of steam.
Hot glue wayward strips to the form, or to a small block glued or screwed to the form.
