I reduce the varnish quite a bit again that 20-30% seems right. I spray em' dry and thin but apply many many coats.... often 12-14 coats but I can generally do it in a day or two waiting about a half an hour between coats. I go over the boats looking for any sags after spraying.... sometimes there will be a couple and a dry foam brush takes care of em'. The nice thing about spraying is that the boat is basically wet out completely with a "wet" edge meaning no brush marks and no weird kinda dry/ still wet zones that get ugly if you have any sags that need to be tipped out. I use just a cheap 24 dollar sprayer with a water seperator on the gun. I don't sand between coats... there is no need to if you spray. Doug
