: Shawn -- speaking mutant to mutant, what models of stripper do you paddle?
: Have you had to modify the designs? Are there any designs that a mutant
: should definitely avoid?

I barely fit in the Guillemot 17. I stretched the original 1' and added 1" in the foredeck area for "piggy room". I still have to point my toes forward slightly, but it's not bad.

My Chesapeake 17 has tons o' room.

I would think the Outer Island would have a bit less room, but I've never been in one; that's just the way it looks to me.

The Redfish and Laughing Loon designs with the "hard sheer" would have a bit more foot room than a boat with a very rounded sheer.

: I plan to start construction over the summer (my first), and have wondered
: about some models. My kayaking skill is on par with my kayak-building
: skill, so far.

So you're an expert at both? ;)
