Laughingloon plans

To shawn or any other helpful person: In my computer challenged bumbling, I found Laughing Loon, a producer of kayaks and strip built kayak plans. The price does not seem competitive, is there anyone who could inform me in a comparison between boat plans. Guillemot, for instance, seems quite reasonable in comparison. Is there more to it?

Also, how many other strip built kayak plans are there out there to further complicate choices?
