Hi Mick,

There are two within 20 minutes of me. Necky in Abbotsford, B.C. They built white water and touring kayaks.

The other is Nimbus in Albion. I am not too sure about their full lineup but they do built touring boats.

Another one is Current Designs across on Vancouver Island.

My local kayak shop is Western Canoe and Kayak in Abbotsford. They also build Clipper Canoes.

I went to get the minicell to move my bulkhead back. Necky, who built my boat is sold by Western Canoe so I went there. Western Canoe phoned Necky to see if they could get me a precut piece that would fit into the position I wanted. Necky said they could easily do that but they would not sell it to me unless they installed it because of liability reasons. They wanted $200.00 to do it. I got the foam for 26 dollars built the bulkhead and installed it myself in about 1 hour. Then there was the time to re-locate the rudder peddles and shortening the cables.

Upshot is that I gained 10 1/2 inches in my front storage compartment and eliminated a large area that would have had to be pumped out in a capsize.
