Get a thin kerf blade

In Response To: Craftsman Table Saw (Ken)

As mentioned before, I have a 30 year old Craftsman. The previous owner replaced the motor with a 1 horse and I have run it that was for nearly 20 years. Yesterday I picked up a Frued thin kerf blade and today ripped some 1 in oak. What a difference! Now I wished I had picked one up years ago.

The down side is that I was thinking of getting a new Dewalt sometime this fall. I have a better fence on order and with the thin kerf blade, there are a few more years in this saw.
