Well, there a still a ways to go, but my daughters Chessie 14 is "ready" for the water. That means that the hull and deck are together, it's been coated with epoxy inside and out and the foot pegs are mounted.

The rest will have to wait until later.

The good news is that she's a natural and that she really enjoyed it. Now all I have to do is finish hers, and start on my wife's!

I want to thank everyone on both kayak BBSs that I frequent (CLC and Guillemot) for the help that I've received. Even when I don't have specific questions, it's always a delight to log in and find out what people are working on, and how their projects are progressing. Both the level of craftsmanship and the overall spirit of friendship and camaraderie on both boards are inspiring.
