strongback question

I've read so much here about how 2x4 stronbacks arent a great choice due to warping and not being as straight as so many other possible stronback ideas such as mda laminated together or a plywood strongback. I have some 2x10's left over from an extention I built that are much straighter than your everyday 2x4 so I was thinking of ripping one on my table saw and using that. sound ok? Thanx...Andy
