Being in the pest control business i use Borax quite alot. its great for wood destroying pests, including fungi. The product i use is called TIMBOR. not sure if it is the same as borax but it does have the same common base. The label on TIMBOR has in bold print to not use it on vegatation. And it gives instructions to cover plants outside before use near them. Turns out the the compound is an oxygenated boric acid and will kill plants rapidly. PLEASE CHECK THE LABEL OF BORAX CAREFULL BEFORE YOU KILL YOUR LAWN IF THIS IS THE CASE.
