Wow, I started in January and plan to put the first varnish coat on tonight. How many days is that? Better not let my wife see your post. I've been building on "her side" of the garage ;-)

: are actually acceptable. I'll wait 2-3 weeks for the luan to suntan evenly
: and start varnishing. Darn, I planned on a beater and can't in clear mind
