Thanks to this board and others for advice and comments. I have recently completed a CLC 17LT. In Wilmington, NC there is a 1st annual Wooden boat show sponsered by the local college boat building school. Since I do not have scratches yet; I'll show it off warts and all. Others can too. No charge, no promotion, some demos by graduating students about steam bending, scarfing, and riveting lapstrake planks. Its on the Cape Fear River so you can paddle, drool over other kayaks and boats, learn and have fun. Its August 5.
