Lot's of great info from everybody. The effect you describe seems to be a combination of effects from contamination, to characteristics of the roller, fast set up freezing the surface expression and/or amines.

I kinda lean towards the effect of the brush and amines on the surface.

(***Warning Everybody! Short Rant Session coming***)

Some king of amine is present in every hardener made, and there no way any maker can certify that theirs is blush free (check out the fine print, if it's there at all). May I suggest letting the epoxy cure for some more days, then take a bucket of hot water out with one of those green household scrub pads (the kind that have a yellow sponge side, too) and scrubbing down the epoxy, let it dry, sand it, then try again? That my usal process and it works for me even using cheapo epoxys guranteed to blush like the proverbial bride... Also, Rich brought up some great ideas you should check out, like I'm going to do myself... Best o' luck and if you don't mind, could you follow-up with a post to this group? I for one am curious/concerned/worried how it comes out..
