: I have seen decoritive veneers used on boats to cover seems, etc... I have
: not been able to find any and was wondering if anyone new where I could
: pick some up? I live in western New York but I guess mail order would do.
There is a very good place in or near Buffalo, and also a place in Ontario (near Hamilton, I think). Sorry, I can't remember much more than this. I took a piece of birdseye maple veneer and cut a logo out of it for the bow of my CLC 18 LT, and then put the cut out portion on the rear hatch lid. When I was casting about for places to buy the veneer, I did a web search that turned up several vendors (but not the Buffalo one, I don't think). I bought from the Canadian one because I got a good deal on another piece of lumber that I got at the same time. The Constantine's catalog is excellent. The veneer is expensive, but it is a good source for veneer tools and materials.
Good luck.
