Hi Hafte;

I can't really answer your question properly, as I don't have any real experience in laying up in a mold. I have 2 immediate thoughts which I'll share, however. First, the runny nature of the resin may not lend itself to a uniform layer, tending to pool in the low spots. Second, it might be tough to color sufficiently to get an opaque surface. Gel coat is the answer to both of these problems, unfortunately. Perhaps someone who has more knowledge will jump in here . . .
