I was concerned about highway speeds and having enough tension on my underdeck bungies to hold my flush hatches. I had the bungies so tight I was having trouble getting my fingers under the hatch for removal.

One of my neighbors got the tour of kayak features as I was getting ready for the weekend paddling (major distraction).

I was driving up a mountain pass with the kayaks on top of my jeep and realized I had forgot to let the air out of a float bag (air expansion could cause problems).

I found out I had also forgot to secure the front hatch with the underdeck bungees.

Wow! I had been driving at highway speeds in head winds and next to semi's with my hatch just setting in it's place and it did not blow off!

I have since loosend the bungies to the point where they are comfortable to use, and I am not concerned about them anymore.
