: Yours was one of the ones I looked at quite closely. Nicely done! I like the
: way it angles upward, away from the deck. It makes it easier to put the
: skirt over the lip.

That and I didn't make my recess big enough, so I needed to slope it to give me room for a rand/bungie in back.

: It sounds like mine is fine as is. Can you pick your boat up by the skirt?

I don't know if that's a test I want to do. If I'm hanging in my boat upside down, I'd just as soon fall out as have my skirt hold me in. If (and when) I want to stay in while inverted, I trust my knee braces and hip pads to hold me in.

I do pick up the entire boat by the coaming lip (with my hands, though).

: I'm not really thinking of glass over the top of it. It certainly doesnt need
: it structurally, being 3/8" thick where yours is 3/16". Possibly
: for abrasion, but if it gets beat up in two years I'll glass it then. Even
: a belt sander has a slow time cutting through all those lamination joints.
: Lots of room to sand out gouges :) I want this thing in the water!

Go paddle!!!!
