I USED THE BUCKLES AND BAILS OFF OF OLD SKI BOOTS FOR LOCKING CAMS ON THE HATCHES OF A PYGMY OSPREY. ALONG WITH DENSE, COMMERCIAL GRADE, NEOPREME WEATHER STRIPPING AROUND THE HATCH PERIMITER IT MAKES A WATER TIGHT SEAL. THE BUCKLES AND BAILS ARE ATTACHED TO SHORT PIECES OF 1" WEBBING THAT ARE BOLTED THROUGH THE EDGE OFTHE DECK.
