I'm concerned about creating a weak spot in the wood after removing a screw from the form. What I've done for the chines is place a small nail through the wood and into the form. This has created a problem. Its seams that nails make great wedges in particle board for splitting the board in half. If I ever get that picture up, you'd notice clamps on the forms where nails are breaking the forms. These aren't big nails either (#16 1 1/8). I like the idea of tacking the chines in place with hot glue and will try it on my weekend.

The stringers have such a strong twist to them (and mine are slightly oversized) that they are also breaking the particle board. If I use these forms again, I'll first reenforce the chine and stringer locations.

I'm using Polyeurethane glue. I think mine is Elmers. Picked it up at Fred Meyer. I've got gorrilla glue but can't find it. Most of the polyeurethane glues say to prewet the surface for better adhesion. I didn't. Instead I let the polyeurethane soak in. I glued and screwed the chines onto the bow and stern at the same time. It was big clamp time. For the stringers, I glued and clamped them and will add the screws later. This was a 2 person job which makes me glad my dad was hanging around.
