In Response To: Are minicel bulkheads watertight? (BruceK)

Hi, I am also installing deck plates in my Ches. 16LT bulkheads instead of hatches. Just thought I'd mention that you can now get an 8" screw in plate (easier to stuff drybags through) from Beckson, although they are rather hard to find. If you can't locate one, check out shipstore.com (Beckson item #DP80-W). Someone else raised the issue of having the forward bulkhead close enough to the cockpit to reach the opening... good point. I needed to move the bulkhead 4 inches aft so I could reach it through the cockpit opening. (I'm short and don't need the legroom anyway!) Have fun, Michelle.
