What is the advantage of using teak ply? Teak is heavy. Teak ia oily - adheresion Teak is dark - higher temperature under sun, epoxy may soften about 140 degree. Teak is expensive - I have used some before, oh about 14 or 15 years ago on funiture. I order from Hong Kong ( could not find that in US) Teak is certainly not environmentally friendly. There is no reason for such a boat except a garantee is have one of a kind that is costly and won't last the years! Please change your mind and use some wood that is more friendly to out taxed environment.
