: greetings from middle america. any ideas on how to get berry bird poop stains

Relative to the bird poop, I think, as the saying goes, that you are SOL. You have what is in fact a water soluable dye that has penetrated well into your wood. My hands are blue for days after picking blueberries.
As for sanding, the nasty epoxy/fiberglass dust is just one more good reason for wet sanding. No dust, no problem. And all the hassle with respirators, etc., is why I am a spruce junky and never mess with cedar, redwood, etc. Also, if you learn how to sharpen and use a cabinet scraper, you will virtually never have need of sand paper. There is zero dust with a cabinet scraper, just shavings, and that includes epoxy/fiberglass as well as wood.
