In Response To: Strongbacks (Tom)

: I would like to know the relative merits of building with the forms mounted
: above a strongback and likewise the pros and cons of building with the
: strongback running through the forms. Also, has anyone tried using hot
: glue instead of staples as mentioned in some earlier postings on
: stapleless construction. Thanks in advance.

At the risk of opening an old flame, does anyone remember a radio tower (CB?) section that was about six on a side (triangle)? I was looking at a section of Rohn 25, but it's twelve inches on a side, a bit large to fit into a stripper, but wow, is it rigid!! Flat side up it might make a solid Walrus base, though. I'd appreciate the name of a manufacturer if someone remembers CB stuff? TNX, Scotty
