Please forgive me if I reiterate previous posts, I'm having trouble bringing up a few of them.
OK, the green tint most likely comes from chromium (Cr+3 for all the chemists out there). One of the first and still popular method of treating the glass cloth so that it will adsorb resins uses chromium in the process which leaves the green color. I think the name of the process is Volan or something similar. There are several other methods that do not use chromium in their chemistry hence the color variation in different rolls. Lately people have been moving away from the chrome treated glass due to health concerns. I have no idea if there is any validity to the concerns.
I think www.johnrsweet.com mentioned something about the chromium and supply chrome free glass.
Hope this helps
