I'm looking to build a boat for a person of limited paddling experience. The primary usage will be short alongshore trips and lillydipping in the inter dune lakes in the area where we live. Height 5'10", weight 185# size 10 shoes. I would like to go s&g or plank on frame. I'm thinking of slimming down a double-ended duck boat that I built a few years back. Taking a 6hr canoe and lowering the sides to about 8' and decking it over or Mill creek 13, at this time I'm open to any and all suggestions. I've not been to the city for some time, does home depot still have luan plywood? Thanks for the input. Rhed thanks for the suggestions on the saw polishing the deck worked great!
