Before you shell out anything for a battery, check with the maintenance people where you work or in a public building. I got my battery (and it has performed well for three years) from a scheduled maintenance repacement of our emergency lights batteries at work. It was free and works great. It is a sealed maintenance free battery and had never seen any abuse. When the electricians gave it to me they said if it didn't work they would give me another because there were more where that came from.
