Hi, I made a Guillemot, it was the first time I ever built a kayak. I overdid the resin when I was applying the cloth, and when I used the squeegee to remove the excess, I had rather a lot of excess !! So I used around 2 1/2 gals in total. Probably, the next time I glass something, I would use less.

One other thing, I was acutely aware that the excess resin ( because it was milky ) was a terrible waste, so in future, I would prepare any pieces which needed glueing in advance, so that I could use the excess on them rather than just throw it away ( assuming that the appearance doesn't matter ).
