I would like to know how others here make their coaming lips. Right now I have the vertical pieces of the coaming installed (the way Nick did in his book). Should I now bend ash strips to make the lip or wait until after I have glassed the deck up over the vertical pieces? The illustration in Nick’s book sort of looks like he bent the ash around the coaming after there was a layer of glass (maybe what looks like glass is epoxy in the drawing).

I plan on using either glass or thickened epoxy to make fillets.

Just wondering what others here have used.
