Hi John, I used a hot glue gun when I built a Guillemot. It was the cheapest gun I could find, it cost £5 ( approx $7 ). It worked for me when holding something temporarily, it would not hold the strips for a Guillemot, but then a Guillemot is a very curvy boat. I used staples in the end.

I agree with the previous responder ( also John !!) , it really hurts if you get some on yor fingers !!!
