Thanks to the wonderful help from this forum I am 99% sure that I will be
ordering the Mill Creek 15 instead of the Ches 16LT during CLC's Fall Sale.
Stability was the deciding factor, the Mill Creek offering a better platform
for my photography. A slower boat that is not as pretty is probably better
than one that I dump everytime I twist around in to take a picture : )
Now, for the Mill Creek questions ... Any modifications that anyone has done
that I need to know about? The kit doesn't come with hatches but I am
assuming I need to add those. Do most people add hatches to the deck or
smaller ports through the bulkheads? I am going to get the adjustable
footbraces. I am going to use the slatted seat to begin with and see how
that works. Anything I am forgetting? Gini, where can I get the block
plane you were saying I needed?
