Hi Todd,
I used the "Bearback Kayak Designer Program" to design my kayak. After playing with it for a day it was easy to use. It was mentioned on this board a month or so ago in a discussion along with the information to download this free software. So you can find it on the archives. It was easy to align the printed out paper for each section because it had a large X running through each section, along with the grids. It didn't seem to have the bow and stern section and maybe I was just too dumb to figure it out. But I took a printed side view of the kayak and took a close up picture with my digital camera and blew it up on my computer and it worked out fine. Good luck.
