Good point,I'd hate to have an open hatch in some waves -- I think the simple addition of a second hook on each strap will make it a lot eaiser to attach and release -- then all that's left is making sure my bungee holes don't leak.

Sounds like I'm going back to my original design!

: If you're just using one line, a slight hook or problem w/ 't' rescue or
: panicked victim or other simple situations could result in a compromised
: hatch which you do not want. If you do do it, tie it in the ctr and wrap
: in either direction so at least there is some redundancy.
