: I am about at the same phase of my project -getting everything aligned, and
: glue selection. What are the problems associated with Titebond II? I have
: some - should I be wary of using it? Thanks.

: I used Titebond II on the stripper that I built last winter. I used mainly darker western red cedar. On many spots on the hull the glue seemed to have sealed the cedar (even after I sanded the hull) pores. Wet out with water showed some of them but not all. When the wet out with epoxy was done it left light colored areas where it appears the epoxy didn't penetrate. Even sanding back through the area to try to remove the epoxy and glue didn't help. I also feel this is a good reason to do a seal coat of epoxy before you lay on the glass (to expose potential problems.) Next time I will use regular Titebond and be more careful with wiping of excess glue. addison
