I agree with Nick's comments ... emphasis on the word "backup". I might add that the craftsmanship and functionality of the SUUNTO watches (like most products coming out of Finland these days) are top notch and unmatched anywhere. I recently upgrade from the Vector, which I bought over two years ago soon after its introduction, to the X-lander, which has a fancier "dress watch" look with leather strap, etc. Both have altimiter, barometer, compass, and a whole bunch of other goodies that most owners probably wouldn't even begin to know how to operate! But if you do ... WATCH OUT!!!
