: Hello All;

: I finished building the composite/foam/upholstered seatback, and devising a
: simple mounting method that allows me quick access to what will be the
: small storage area behind the seat when the bulkheads are in place.

: If you'd like to see a How-To, I've got a detailed sequence of photos on my
: web site. Just follow the link below, Select "Finishing &
: Fitout," and scroll to the bottom where you'll find "Seat
: Construction."

Just a quick question - what prevents the seat from sliding down when you climb in and the seat catches on your shirt, butt, or whatever?

You don't want it to end up sliding under you when you are trying to enter from a wetexit in bad conditions. Some commercial kayaks have this problem and you hate them for it especially if it happens in tough conditions. Rentering is never fun.

Just a quick safety thought. The nifty bungie setup holding the backsupport back and up tends to work fairly well.

Great job on construction!!

: Credit where credit is due - These are ideas that for the most part stem from
: the open posters on this board. I'm only implementing, combining, and
: improvising on ideas initiated by people like Nick, Joe, and LOTS of other
: neat builders. That is what is so great about this forum - Information
: sharing. Here's my share . . .

: Best Regards, Spidey
