: I am thinking of buying a dry suit for kayaking in the Chesapeake Bay this
: winter. My question is, doesn't the fit have to be so close that you need
: to go to a store rather than purchase it off of the Internet? When it is
: cold I fly with a dry suit and it took several hours of fitting and
: trimming to get the correct fit.
Check the return policy. If I am between sizes I will sometimes buy two garments and send one back. This is fine as long as you don't order any special features (and your credit card does not max). For my last Kokatat GFE drysuit, I ordered a medium and large and send them both back, and then ordered a custom suit once I was confident of the sizing (large body with shortened arms/legs, goretex sock, relief zipper). I found this approach satisfactory, although timeconsuming.
