: I am seeking information about a simple sail rig for a 16ft fiberglass and
: ply kayak, it must be easy to hadle.any help appreciated
Depending on simple you want to get.
If you don't run an outrigger setup, you'll need to keep the sail rather small. More for assist rather than propulsion.
Here's an Australian site with sail rigs http://www.vision.net.au/~jennings/sail/sail.html
There's the $50 sailrig http://www.mediterraneanavenue.com/canoerig.html
( site seems to be down for the moment )
If you want to run outriggers you can go quite large
I'm building a variant on CLC's Sailrig
http://www.clcboats.com/sailrig.php3?cart_id=CREATE
And by all means join the kayak sailing mailing list
