My grandfather said there is nothing more expensive that cheap tools. Sage words. Spend the money and get the Porter Cable. It's a great tool. One other thing to consider is that you can get the PC sander the next step up and get variable speed. It is another $25 but is a nice feature to have. I also got the hose to connect it to my shop vac and that is some of the best money I have ever spent. It won't make your shop as clean as a hospital lab but it makes for easier clean-up and breathing, and I think your sandpaper sheets last longer because they don't clog as fast. (That save you the money you spent on the sander!)
