I concur with the PC decision. I bought the one with velcro, and it worked great until I leaned on the edge a bit, and melted the hooks on the perimeter. Even though most of the hooks were intact, the darned thing insisted on playing Frisbee.
The platen disk was replaced with the padded version for self-adhesive disks. 3M sells these in rolls for a reasonable price, or you can spray adhesive (such as 3M 777) on plain paper disks. The disks stay stuck now.
