Thanks for the reply and the good news about the epoxy.
The Baidarka is coming along well albeit slowly (had to build the annual ice hockey rink complete with boards and nets for the kids). Your suggestion for wiring the hull and deck together while the tack welds cure worked GREAT, I'm really pleased with the shape, and the deck and hull shapes match perfectly.
