Watco Danish oil finishes might be just the trick for
: cocobolo.
I have used Watco, Minwax Antique Oil, and a homemade boiled linseed/turpentine/beeswax finish on paddles and other projects exposed to saltwater. Even multiple coats couldn't hold any shine for more than a few exposures.
