: I am in the final stages of a 14' puddle duck woodstrip canoe and am now
: thinking of what kind of finish to put on it. I used RAKA epoxy, very
: satisfied, and am now wondering what kind of varnish to put on it. The
: canoe will see use in both salt and fresh water. I would probably prefer
: to use a waterbased finish due to its easier use, but will use a solvent
: based finish if it is the better one. What is the general opinion and
: experience out there? I plan on brushing it on but can also spray it.
: Because this is my first wood strip boat, first of many hopefully, I am
: looking for advice. Thanks in advance.
Whatever you use, make sure it contains a UV inhibitor to protect the epoxy.
