Eric, Thanks for the reply. I am a little confused. I understand what you are saying about the constant scale factor for both lengh and girth, but I am unclear about the proportion being near 1. For my example, a 17 foot boat scaled down to approx 16 feet would have the length reduced about 3/4 inch for each 12 inch interval. That would be a 6.25% reduction. Are you saying that the width of the side and bottom panels should also be reduced by 6.25%? Thanks.
