Hi Dave, you did a nice jub on that kayak. It looks great and is right in
the size and shape range of the Keowee/Minnow twins.

The boat below is a modified version of a boat designed by Joe Reisner. The
: original is about as simple as you can get, 3/16" Luan plywood side
: panels (cut on a table saw, no less) sprung around two plywood frames. The
: bottom is bonded on oversized and trimmed down pie-crust style, and the
: top is fabric.

: I scaled the boat from 16' to 11', used 1/8" plywood with shear clamps,
: and added a plywood deck with a cockpit coaming so the thing would look
: like my kayak. That gave a beam of about 20", which the kids have no
: trouble with.
