Dust does not effect the clarity of the finish, only the gloss. For this reason, I only worry about the dust on the final coat, on all the prior coats, I sand the little dust specks (tiny little raised spots in the finish) off. If you can't get a dust free environment, you can always buff the finish for a blemish free finish. Nick
