: I'm in the process of lofting the Guillemot single from the book and some
: what concerned about its size vs mine. I'm 6ft 200lb size 11 flippers,
: will this pose any problems? On the plus side, it looks like it should be
: a nice snug boat great to learn rolling & edging in and still be good
: for weekent trips!
: Second point, could one cut some strips with a double bead or double
: cove(depending which way you're stripping) to make the keel and deck peak
: joints?
: Finally, do you use acorn nuts for the hardware (to protect your drybags) or
: does anybody have a good idea for recessed deck fittings????
: Thanks.
David's ref.'s for fittings are good, another one for soft fittings is Redfishkayak.com. Joe Greenley has some great methods.
Double cove or double bead can be handy but I found on my Guillemot L that in those areas I preferred no cove or bead and just planed a bevel to fit.
Good Luck!
