: hello everybody....
: a while ago george cushing,as well as others, had an interesting discussion
: on the use of fiberglass drywall tape. well, i went forward and purchased
: the widest roll i could find. (2 3/8") i've doubled and tripled it up
: along the seams and it has turned out far better than expected. there are
: areas where the tape would not conform to the hull shape easily, so heated
: it up with my heat gun i use on hockey blades. this heating made the tape
: very plyable, i would shape it to the desired shape and let it cool. also,
: an added bonus, it is self adhesive, making it a breeze to work with. the
: only set back i can see so far is that the tape is blue and is still quite
: visible when wetted out. not a big deal to me because i was planning on
: painting that part of my kayak anyway. i've got great pictures on my
: digital camera and posted them on photo point.com; but, due to my
: ineptitude i'm unable to follow the simple instructions and post them
: here. how do i "paste" the address when the kbbs is in a diffent
: application. i've tried to keep both open and running at the same time
: thinking i'll just move the address over. this too has failed because i'm
: only able to run one window at time. ahhhh....to heck with it.
: does any see how useing this tape could be a problem in the future?

Hey Brett.... I liked your name the old way, so, since I've just learned this procedure myself, here's what I did.

I'm assuming you have your pictures in the album and can click on them to enlarge. Then, click on them again and get it in the field by itself. No photopoint ads. Then go to the address up in the toolbar and pick up all the address EXCEPT the "http://". That is what messed me up in my first feeble attempts. Nick's site already has this and that's what messes up a few people in trying to post their pics.

The steps as I remember them, assuming you have you pictures in the album already:

1. Open Nick's "Post Message" window.

2. "Minimize" it from upper right hand corner.

3. Open your album.

4. Upsize your picture to the open screen ( picture only, no adds ).

5. "Highlight" your pictures address at top on page in toolbar.

6. RIGHT-CLICK on the highlighted address and choose "Copy" from the menu.

7. Click ( left ) on the "copy" choice.

8. Then close or minimize your album window and bring the "Post Message" window back up.

9. Go down to the "Optional Image URL" and with your cursor in the box Right-click.

10. Choose the paste option from that menu.

11. When the address pops up you can double check that you didn't include the extra "http://". If so, just highlight it and right-click and delete that portion. Then, click preview to double check for the picture.

If you haven't gotten the picture into the album properly or aren't sure, let me know and I'll try to get back through that procedure as well.

Hope this helps, as everyone want to see pictures, pictures, pictures!! :)
