Yes, the Character/figure around the knots is pleasant and does give your work a nice, more natural look. But, remember that your knots are very hard and will not sand or plane as easily as the rest of the wood, and should you try, you will end up with hollows around them. Very difficult to get scratches out of them without cutting all the wood away from around them. Just a word of Caution.
