I worked here for maybe 25 years always checking the "M" box, not the "F" box on my travel vouchers. Then I realized it meant First and Middle initials:Perhaps my sensitivity was aroused by the Red Cross which appended my middle initial to my first name and called Georgea and put a "F" in the gender column.

This morning I had a hard time working out a gender issue with a boy named Joan. All the pronouns in the file say he or his. Maybe this explains why he's(?) in the juvenile justice system!
