Well, I see your shooting board makes a dandy tool rest! And I really like your pipe insulation clamp padding. Suppose it might work on pipe clamps too!
I've been mulling inlays for a while and had never considered your approach. It clearly has the advantage of being more than a thin veneer deep and avoids the clamping problems inherent in using veneers. My only question is why the grinder? Wouldn't your plane bring the plug down flush with the deck with more control? Hate to see you gouge that beautiful deck!
